Virtual AWP: Writer to Writer Conversations & Readings
Please join me and the Association of Writers & Writing Programs in the first installment of their new online series of readings & conversations with writers.These events will feature discussions and readings with former mentors and mentees of the Writer to Writer mentorship program. Now in its fourteenth season, AWP’s free, biannual program matches emerging writers and published authors for a three-month series of modules on topics such as craft, revision, publishing, and the writing life. To mark the 1-year anniversary of the show at the Cultural Commons of San Antonio, I’m sharing this mural created by Coral Diaz which features a poem of mine, Hijos Dalgos. I was honored to have this displayed at the City of San Antonio’s Tricentennial Celebration last year and wanted to share the piece with you all!
